Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage
Visit the Elephant Orphanage at Pinnawala which was established in 1975 and commenced with seven orphans. Today, some of these orphans enjoy the fortune of seeing their grandchildren born in the same location.

Dambulla Cave Temple (Golden Temple of Dambulla)
This is the largest and best preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. There are more than 80 documented caves in the surrounding area. Major attractions are spread over 5 caves witch contains statues and paintings.

World famous frescoes (Wall paintings) on the cave depict beautiful damsels and attendant maids resembling those at Ajantha. These frescoes are painted on a wet plaster using natural pigments.

Since ancient times, the sacred relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World heritage site.

Gadaladeniya Temple
This site with an ancient monastery is found on the flat rock at Diggala in the district of Kandy. According to a inscription there this temple was built by King Buwanekabahu IV in the year 1344.

Ambekke Devalaya
Embekka Devalaya (Embekka Temple) was built by the King Vikramabahu iii of Gampola Era (AD 1357 - 1374) in Sri Lanka. This temple is famous because of its marvelous wood carvings.

Lankathilaka Viharaya
The temple is full of exquisite painted scenes of the lives of 24 former Buddhas and there is a colossal seated image of the Buddha. It commands unfolding village scenery of charm and beauty.

Kandyan Dance
According to the legend, the origins of the dance lie in an exorcism ritual known as the Kohomba Kankariya which was originally performed by Indian Shamans who came to the island.
